Before using any pesticide on a houseplant, carefully read the product’s label to make sure it is appropriate for both the pest and the plant.
What is it – Carbaryl (best known as sevin) is a synthetic pesticide that kills a wide range of insects.
Precautions – Carbaryl should not be applied indoors. When applied outdoors, it has been known to damage leaves of some plants (see list below).
Plants Sensitive To Carbaryl:
- Aluminum Plant
- Arrowhead Plant
- English Ivy
- Ferns
- Peperomia
- Schefflera
